Brad Technology’s precision farming solution

Brad brings you a fully integrated AgriTech solution that functions as a Decision Support Tool (DST) and includes:

a connected beacon

implanted in the field, it transmits in real time environmental data in the air and in the soil.

Brad Solution mobile application

a mobile application

It allows you to view aggregated and enriched data, set and receive alerts and share your data with the community.

Brad Technology community illustration

a community of exchange

between farmers and other professionals who share their data, analysis and solutions and help improve the solution.

to exchange on the use, the lessons learned, the good practices, the requests for evolution.

Anticipate risks and opportunities to produce better, limit inputs, with less losses and at lower cost.

Using the Brad solution means saving time on a daily basis, managing your work time and efforts and saving money on treatments and irrigation. The end result is a higher, more ecological and better quality production.

From the data, to have new knowledge to make the best decisions

With Brad’s complete solution, you can always know exactly where the soils are in your plots so you can make the right decisions.

Data analysis illustration of Brad solution
  • Data collection: 24 hours a day, in real time, continuously analyzed and compared.

  • Data intelligence: the probe detects events from individual data but also with other comparable plots.

  • Built to encourage feedback loops to improve the offering.

  • Share with its community selected data, feedback, best practices, tips.

The Brad probe

Our probe collects soil and air data, much like a connected weather station, for analysis. The application allows you to see this data in real time and the resulting recommendations and alerts.

Data collected by the probe

  • relative soil moisture at 2 levels: 30 cm and 60 cm deep, depending on the type of crop

  • relative air humidity

  • soil temperature at 2 levels: 30cm and 60cm deep

  • air temperature

  • Atmospheric pressure

  • luminosity: visible spectrum and ultraviolet

  • dew point (calculated)

  • other data are subject to R&D by our team

Data acquired from third parties

  • wind: speed, direction, intensity

  • rainfall

  • pollutant concentrations

The Brad application

Understanding the soil and its environment

  • Identification of parameters contributing to crop disease

  • Forecasted changes in soil conditions

  • Weather conditions hour by hour

  • 15 day weather forecast

  • Implementation of predictive Artificial Intelligence models

  • Establishment of probabilities of occurrence of identified events

  • Receive notifications and alerts

Anticipate and act at the right time on :

  • Meteorological events (frost, gales, storms…)

  • Irrigation requirements and water stress

  • The appearance of diseases such as mildew or powdery mildew

  • Attacks by insect pests

  • The need for treatment with plant protection products

  • Weed growth episodes

The Brad Community

The solution is much more than a probe that analyzes the soil of your plot and an application that returns and analyzes the data, Brad is also a community of farmers.
We see this community as an open and learning platform. Farmers can access data from other plots to enrich the analysis of their own. They also receive advice on how to improve their practices. In return, they can, if they want to, share their data and best practices with other members of the community.

In practice

The Brad solution and ecology

Each probe has 6 independent components that can be hot-swapped. Their maintenance and recycling are integrated into the design and development cycle.

The components can be reused in other configurations to limit waste. Their recycling is done at the end of their life, with the specific constraints of electronic products. The thermoplastic casings and stainless steel feet are recyclable. Eventually, the replacement of plastic by an eco-sourced material is being studied.
