Question 1

Why does soil health matter so much, right now?

Accepted Answer

Soil is the foundation of our food system, and it is under unprecedented stress. • 95% of our food comes directly or indirectly from soil. • In a +2°C world, agricultural drought is already 2.4× more frequent. • 40% of soils worldwide are degraded, affecting half of humanity. • 13% of ecosystems are shifting toward aridification. • Without ground-truth soil intelligence, yields can drop by up to 50%.

Question 2

What is the "Triple Blindness" Brad solves?

Accepted Answer

Three key actors of agriculture each operate without reliable, shared soil data: • Farmers decide on instinct and observation, with no live soil data. • Industry builds ESG on assumptions, without ground-truth verification. • Governments write policy from satellite proxies, without real-time soil monitoring. • Brad gives all three the same single source of truth: the soil itself.

Question 3

Why can't farmers save soils alone?

Accepted Answer

You can't be GREEN if you're in the RED. Saving soils is a systemic effort, not lone heroism. • Smallholders face scarce revenue and the hardest physical work in the world. • The job is losing attractiveness across generations. • Real change requires affordable tech accessible to every farm size. • It requires shared knowledge open to farmers, agronomists and researchers. • It requires aligned incentives between farmers, industry and governments.

Question 4

What does Brad stand for as a company?

Accepted Answer

Brad is a French deep-tech, France 2030 laureate and G20 India "Best Audience Choice" winner, built on five purpose-led pillars: • Soil Intelligence — data-driven sustainable agriculture. • Universal Access — affordable technology for every farm. • Open Commons — shared digital resources for the community. • Resilient Farming — balancing ecology and economy. • Digital Autonomy — empowering farmers through tech mastery.

Question 5

What's the ROI of ground truth?

Accepted Answer

Brad turns continuous soil data into immediate operational and financial value: • 24/7 plot intelligence, no gaps between satellite passes. • Smart alerts with Voice-AI guidance in the farmer's language. • Hydric status tracking from optimal zone down to wilting point. • Predictive bio-risk scoring for nematodes and fungi. • Disruptive entry price: $150 including the probe and the first-year subscription.

Question 6

What exactly does the Brad probe measure?

Accepted Answer

The probe captures a full agronomic picture above and below ground: • Soil moisture and temperature at two chosen depths (5, 15, 30, 60 or 90 cm). • Air humidity and temperature. • Visible light and UV luminosity. • Dew point, wet-bulb temperature and frost risk (computed). • Aggregated weather: wind, rainfall, 5-day forecast. • Organic matter and sequestered carbon — coming summer 2027.

Question 7

How is the probe powered and connected?

Accepted Answer

Designed for the field, the probe works in both well-covered farms and remote plots: • Powered by a Li-ion battery or solar panel. • Connected via LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, LTE-M or GSM networks. • Auto-selects the best available network at install.

Question 8

Is installation complicated?

Accepted Answer

No — the probe is plug & play and designed for fast field deployment: • Removable stainless-steel feet, screwed in by hand. • Wired open extension port for additional sensors. • Robust French design, assembled and maintained in the destination country. • Typical install time: under 10 minutes per probe.

Question 9

How does the AI turn raw data into advice?

Accepted Answer

Through what we call "Knowledge Circularity" — a closed loop where both humans and AI keep learning: • Continuous data acquisition from the probe network. • Semantic refinery to turn signals into agronomic indicators. • Augmentation with peer-reviewed agronomic literature via GraphRAG. • Voice interaction in the farmer's language. • Sentiment loop that refines the knowledge graph. • Modular evolution, including the 2027 carbon sensors.

Question 10

How do I access my data?

Accepted Answer

Three complementary access channels, designed for every user profile: • Mobile companion app (iOS, Android, web) with summary and expert modes. • Web application with multi-plot dashboards and a query engine for exports. • Semantic-web REST API for machine-to-machine integration (JSON, CSV, HTML, visual content).

Question 11

Can I talk to my data?

Accepted Answer

"Hey Brad" — the mobile app includes an integrated voice agent (private preview, general availability summer 2026): • Curated from 500 open-science articles and books. • Available today in English and French. • Arabic (Darija) and Hindi scheduled for H2 2026. • Full on-device usage by end of 2026.

Question 12

What about alerts and forecasts?

Accepted Answer

Brad helps you act early, not react late: • Configurable alerts on any data parameter. • Full historical visualization across seasons. • Available Water Capacity (AWC) tracking and forecasting. • Forecasts to plan irrigation, fertilization and frost protection ahead of time.

Question 13

Can I share data with my team or agronomist?

Accepted Answer

Sharing is built into the platform from day one: • Instant data sharing with any user, directly from the app. • User and plot management from the web app. • Per-plot production log for traceability.

Question 14

How is Brad different from satellite-only solutions?

Accepted Answer

Satellites describe the canopy. Brad describes the soil — where every crop decision starts. • Continuous in-soil measurement, not just surface reflectance. • Ground truth that calibrates and validates satellite proxies. • Works under cloud cover, at night, and between satellite passes. • Designed as ground truth + global vision, not one or the other.

Question 15

Where are your sensors deployed today?

Accepted Answer

Brad is deploying its technology in countries across Africa and the Middle East, delivering real-time soil health diagnostics to farmers. • Current pilots in France (Ventoux & Aix) and Brachoua (Morocco). • 2026 projects in Marrakech, Abidjan, Ambala (North India) and Bangalore (South India). • Goal: equipping 5,000 farms across the Global South by 2027.

Question 16

Do you have real-world impact stories?

Accepted Answer

Two years of deployment at Les Domaines Amal — a 34-hectare family-owned winery in Morocco — show measurable impact across: • Water vs. heat stress management. • Precision irrigation calibrated to actual soil status. • Root development across vintages. • Wine expression tailored plot by plot.

Question 17

How do I become a pilot partner?

Accepted Answer

We onboard a limited number of farms per region each season to guarantee close engineering support: • Reach out via the contact form below. • Open to single farms, cooperatives and research stations. • Actively seeking partnerships with food industry leaders and government agencies.
